Wyno — Cookie Policy

Wyno uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the app, keep it secure and remember certain choices you make. Wyno also offers optional product analytics and session replay. These optional features are disabled by default and operate only if you choose to enable them. This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use and the choices available to you.

Strictly necessary technologies

Some cookies are simply necessary for Wyno to function, so they don't ask for permission. They keep you signed in (through your Supabase authentication token, which lasts for your session or up to 30 days), remember the language you chose (WYNO_LOCALE, kept for 12 months), let you use the app as a guest without an account (a guest identifier kept for 90 days), and remember your privacy and feature choices (kept for 12 months). Without these, the app wouldn't work properly, so they can't be switched off. Wyno may use an essential guest identifier to maintain a guest's app session and related service data. This identifier is separate from the temporary in-memory identifier used for PostHog product analytics.

Optional product analytics

We use PostHog to understand which features are used and how the app performs.

Product analytics is disabled by default and begins only if you choose to enable it. If enabled, PostHog collects limited information about your interactions with Wyno. For registered users, analytics events may be associated with Wyno's internal account identifier. For guests, analytics events are associated with a temporary identifier used during the relevant session.

PostHog is configured so that product analytics does not use persistent analytics cookies or local-storage identifiers. Its analytics software nevertheless operates on your device and transmits analytics information from it. Wyno therefore asks for your consent before enabling product analytics. You may withdraw your consent and disable product analytics at any time through Settings → Privacy. Further information is available in the Privacy Notice.

Optional session replay

Session replay is a separate optional feature from product analytics that records how you interact with the app to help Wyno identify and correct technical or usability problems. It is separate from ordinary product analytics, is disabled by default and begins only after you choose to enable it. Where technically supported, personal input fields are masked. You may withdraw your consent and disable session replay at any time through Settings → Privacy.

What we don't do

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking cookies to follow you around other apps or websites.

Your choices

You can choose whether to enable optional product analytics and session replay. These optional features are disabled by default where consent is required.

You can:

1. (a)

   accept or reject product analytics independently of session replay;

2. (b)

   continue using Wyno if you reject either or both optional features; and

3. (c)

   change your choices at any time through Settings → Privacy.

Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide and secure Wyno remain active because the app cannot function properly without them.
